Mantra Learning have worked in partnership with Abbey Logistics to deliver apprenticeship training in HGV mechanics, transport planning and customer services. They also delivered CPD and other required training to their LGV drivers, mainly ADR courses, so they can transport dangerous goods.
This training supports succession planning and business growth, enabling Abbey Logistics to recruit young local people, and set them on a career path, with the hope that they remain and develop their career with Abbey. It also enables Abbey to be recognised as an excellent employer, and attract more exceptional candidates. In turn, Abbey allow their apprentices to attend career fairs to promote the benefits of apprenticeships.
The partnership has given Mantra the opportunity to work with and provide training and support to a blue-chip organisation. Abbey recently organised a drivers’ competition to promote better and safer driving within the fleet, and Mantra sponsored one of the events, thus supporting Mantra’s standing in the industry.
